His articles, interviews, and book reviews have been published in a range of online and print magazines. He is a contributing photographer for Getty Images/iStockPhotos, a freelance journalist/photojournalist, and his personal photography has been exhibited widely online and in gallery exhibitions.
Cary is a staff Writer and Associate Editor for F-Stop Magazine, a contributor to YIELD Magazine, LensCulture, Vantage, Fujifeed, and ArtNarratives. Since 2012, he is the publisher and editor of Wobneb Magazine.
His personal photographic work largely centers on the scenes, themes, and tropes of the community where he grew up, left in early adulthood, and returned to in middle-age. His images explore and document various aspects of his midwest community.
